What’s it like living in Bognor Regis?

Living in Bognor Regis is fantastic. Here’s why: to one side, you have Littlehampton, Worthing and Brighton that take less than an hour to get to if you want some fun and entertainment and to get out. In the opposite direction you have Chichester (just 6 miles away – a few minutes in car) Portsmouth and Bournemouth and Southampton. So the reason that the owner loves Bognor Regis because they can leave the lights and noise behind and come back to Bognor which is pretty quiet in comparison – so one are perfectly situated between many great places to visit to the left and right.

Commuting to London

Getting to London from Bognor Regis is a breeze. The journey is green and beautiful with the usual slow or fast trains. If you get the time right (off-peak tickets) it can be £22 return to London – yes I really said that! It’s hard to believe.

How quiet is this location?

The position of this beautiful flat in Bognor Regis, West Sussex is interesting, as whilst it gets fairly busy at weekends people-wise on the pavements etc with Butlin’s holiday goers (you’ll never be lonely here) during the week – it is mainly very quiet. There is a relatively little traffic generally as there are various major roads that take people home from work that bypasses this route. In the evenings it’s pretty traffic free and later at night you may not see a car go past the flat complex for ten or twenty minutes, or longer. Overnight there is often almost no traffic at all for much of the year. This is why the owner does not want to move (but has to due to changing family circumstances plus they would also like a garden).

Allotments locally

If you are interested in allotments, the owner has applied for an allotment and is has been on the waiting list for about six months.

Parking

The flat has its own parking space inside the gated compound itself. There are also 4 guest spaces which are usually empty but occasionally filled at weekends. However, because Bognor Regis is less busy than say worthing or Portsmouth, there is ALWAYS parking nearby – either right outside, or across the road where there are 2 public carparks (Butlin’s and Arun Council).

You can see the parking fees below and also a permit is very cheaply acquired if you had 2 cars and wanted to keep one in the compound and 1 outside.

It is not unusual to see most of the parking spaces outside the flat empty. If they are full there are some free spaces in a couple of very nearby roads and of course there are two very large carparks just across the road (in this picture straight ahead – the seasides is on the right).
